REHAB / DAY REHAB FACILITIES The Rehabilitation Hall is fully equipped
with various stations for exercises therapy. There are 5 different
areas for rehabilitation - ambulation, upper limb rehab, lower limb
rehab, neurological rehab and diversional therapy areas. Apart from the
main Rehabilitation Hall, there are also 2 private treatment rooms.
These are fully equipped to assess and treat individuals for
musculoskeletal conditions. Apart from therapy services, there are
complementary services offered to residents such as aromatherapy
massage, general massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment on a
weekly basis.
Residents have a structured programme of
therapy twice a day - once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
Individuals are supervised and monitored during therapy and fully
documentation for all individual programmes is now in place. All
residents have a combination of upper and lower limb exercises in their
own programmes.
Group exercises are conducted which will
incorporate hand-eye coordination activities, fine motor activities
etc. Residents are encouraged to join in activities like mahjong, board
games and group-centered games.
